Tablet PC Program

The technology in use today at Cathedral Prep is some of the best around. We have incorporated a Tablet PC program, which gives each incoming student a personal Tablet/Laptop computer. These computers are unique in that they give the user the ability to handwrite, print, type or dictate their notes and ideas on the computer.

The computer, in the hands of a student, allows them to not have to carry around so many heavy notebooks and textbooks anymore. We have started installing textbooks on all the computers, and then students can easily flip back and forth between their notes and the book on their computer without missing a beat. Teachers have utilized the capabilities of each student having a computer by electronically giving tests, collecting homework, and corresponding about classroom topics. The students participate in on-line web presentations, watch streaming media on classroom topics, and do research right from their desks. This is truely an exciting time!
