Why Cathedral Preparatory School?
Cathedral Preparatory School, founded in 1921, proudly boasts a long tradition of excellence in the educational and spiritual development of young men from the Erie metropolitan area as well as the tri-state region.
Students can receive Advance Placement college credit in over 15 different courses. Over the past ten years, Cathedral Prep students have enrolled in more than 300 different colleges and universities in the United States and overseas. Last year 97 percent of Cathedral Prep graduates enrolled in a college or university of their choice and accepted over 8.1 million dollars in merit based scholarships.
Cathedral Prep is dedicated to developing men of vision in spirit, mind, and body. By graduation each student will have completed a minimum of 100 hours of service. Students are encouraged to broaden their experience at Cathedral Prep through participation in one or more of 30 activities or clubs. Approximately 50 percent of all students participate in one or more of 13 different sports including seven no-cut sports. Unlike many other schools, Cathedral Prep offers an extensive intramural sports program.
