Prepsters that attended this year’s sold out Rambler Golf Classic were greeted at Whispering Woods by the Rambler himself who was carefully practicing his swing. The Classic was held on June 29 and although the temperature only topped 60 degrees, no matter how you slice it, the Ramblers had an enjoyable time golfing.
This year’s Classic honored the legendary John Doyle ’46, Chairman of Perry Construction Group Inc. Doyle has golfed in many Rambler Golf Classics. He was inducted into the Headmaster’s Hall of Fame in 2001. This year marked the 22nd anniversary of the event.
Golfers were treated to lunch before hitting the course at 12:30 p.m. for the shotgun start.
Following the tournament, golfers relaxed at the end of the day with a fabulous steak dinner. After dinner, many prizes and plaques were given out.
Many enjoyed the opportunity to spend the day with friends of Prep while having fun and raising money for the school.
