Sanders Makes Contract History!
After a brilliant regular season that could result in him being named the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year, Prep grad Bob Sanders (Prep '00) was set to enter this offseason as a free agent. But Indianapolis decided that was not going to happen and signed Sanders to the richest contract by a safety in NFL history. Sanders, a two-time pro bowler in his four years in the league, has resigned with the Colts for the next five years at $37.5 million. The deal includes $20 million that is guaranteed.
